For your client to view and approve a post, you need an approval link. You create and control it right in the post editor.
Turning the link on
In the context column of the editor you'll find a toggle for the approval link:
- On โ the link is active and your client can open the post.
- Off โ the link is switched off and no one can reach the post anymore.
As soon as the link is active, you can copy it and send it off โ by email, messenger or however you like. Your client doesn't need a maebe account of their own โ the link is enough.
Tip: You can switch the link off again at any time. That's handy once a review is finished and you don't want the post sitting openly on the web anymore.
Protecting it with a PIN
In theory, a link can be forwarded. To make sure only the right people can approve, you can also protect the post with a PIN.
- You set the PIN when you share.
- Your client has to enter it once before they can approve.
- It's best to share the PIN through a different channel than the link itself โ for example, the link by email and the PIN by phone.
That way you make sure an approval really comes from the person you meant.
When the PIN is entered wrong too often
If the PIN is entered wrong several times in a row, the input locks temporarily โ a safeguard against guessing. For your client that means: wait a moment and try again.
If someone locks themselves out or forgets the PIN, you can lift the lock again in the editor: just set a new PIN, or switch the link off and back on. After that the input is open again.
