You have a media pool full of photos, the rating round is done – now what? That's exactly where content suggestions come in: maebe looks at your green-rated images and turns them into a concrete posting plan. Which images belong together as a carousel, which one carries a single post, which caption fits your brand, and when is the best time to post.
How to start
You'll find content suggestions in the menu under Create → Content suggestions – or right inside a media pool via Suggestions on the left of the bar at the bottom (the pool is then already preselected). The setup guides you through four steps:
- Pool – on the left you see your pools as an expandable tree, with search, preview images and the number of green images. On the right, a large preview of the selected pool appears. If it has sub-pools, the "Include sub-pools" switch there decides whether the green images from all levels below count too – this also works with pools other teams have shared with you. You can select anything that reaches at least 2 green images (with or without sub-pools). On your phone you tap your way through the levels.
- Target project – this is where the posts you keep end up.
- Briefing and platforms – optionally a short briefing: what should it be about? An occasion, a topic or the tone you want, for example "Recap of our event, relaxed tone". Below that you pick the platforms maebe should plan for. Only platforms with image formats are offered.
- Fine-tuning – optional: how many posts to create (or let maebe decide with "Auto") and which voice writes them (see below).
Then tap Create suggestions in the bar at the bottom. maebe analyses the images and puts a plan together. That takes a little moment.
What feeds into the suggestions
- Green images only: The traffic-light rating in the pool is the selection – whatever you (or your client) set to green counts as approved.
- Your briefing: If you provide one, maebe aligns grouping and captions with it.
- Your brand voice: Writing samples and AI context from your AI settings plus the target project's AI context shape the caption drafts – see Brand voice & AI settings.
- Your best posting times: If your team has insights data, the suggested times follow the slots when your audience is active.
- Existing posts: Whatever is already planned in the project won't be suggested twice.
Currently only images are considered – videos will follow later. Per run, maebe looks at up to 24 green images. If your pool holds more, a random selection is drawn – so every new run brings fresh combinations. If you want to plan specific images, put them into their own (sub-)pool and pick that as the source.
Multiple voices: caption variants
In fine-tuning, under Voice, you choose your default persona and, if you like, up to two comparison voices. Each comparison voice writes its own caption variant per post. maebe remembers your choice for the next run.
In the results you see the variants as one tab per voice above the caption:
- Picking a tab puts its text into the caption field – where you can edit it freely. Once you've typed, maebe shows "Edited by you"; Back to AI suggestion restores the original text.
- Combine captions: pick two voices and maebe blends the two texts into a new caption. You see it as a preview first and then decide with Apply – or try again with Try again.
All captions are AI-generated – use them as a starting point and adjust them to your liking before posting. What gets adopted in the end is always the text in the caption field.
Review and adopt suggestions
The suggestions appear as tiles with a cover, the type (single post or carousel) and the date. In the page header at the top you can filter by All, Single posts or Carousels. At first, all suggestions are selected – use the checkbox on a tile to take one out of the selection; Select all in the bar brings them all back.
Clicking a tile opens the detail sheet (on a computer on the right, on your phone from the bottom). There you can jump from suggestion to suggestion with the arrows and adjust everything:
- Media: clicking an image opens the large view.
- Title and caption – with the voice tabs described above.
- Platform, format and target format: switch the platform (from your selection), the format and the aspect ratio if needed.
- Date: a click opens the calendar. As long as the date comes from the planner, "best time" is shown next to it.
- Add as draft or idea: by default a real draft is created (ready to keep editing, with an approval link). Alternatively it becomes an idea (an internal placeholder in planning mode).
With Adopt … suggestions on the far right of the bar, maebe creates the selected posts in the target project and shows you the list of created posts – Open project takes you straight there, More suggestions starts a new run. The images are copied into the posts – your media pool stays unchanged. Copying runs in the background; the media appear in the posts shortly afterwards.
If you want to start over with different inputs, choose New briefing under … in the bar – your previous inputs stay in place.
Good to know
- Content suggestions are available from the Pro plan. Media pools themselves are in every plan – the AI analysis on top of them starts at Pro.
- Suggestions are non-binding: nothing is created until you adopt them.
- There's a fair daily quota of runs per team – how much of it has been used today is shown in the bar at the bottom.
