Content suggestions from your media pool

maebe looks at your green-rated images and suggests ready-made posts – with grouping, caption and posting time.

Approx. 5 min read

You have a media pool full of photos, the rating round is done – now what? That's exactly where content suggestions come in: maebe looks at your green-rated images and turns them into a concrete posting plan. Which images belong together as a carousel, which one carries a single post, which caption fits your brand, and when is the best time to post.

How to start

You'll find content suggestions in the sidebar under Content → AI Assistant – or directly inside a media pool via the Content suggestions button (the pool is then preselected).

  1. Choose the media pool from the overview. Pools with sub-pools appear as a collapsible tree: the folder icon in front of a row opens and closes its sub-levels, each row shows preview images, the number of green images and what else sits in sub-pools. With many pools, the live search and "Load more" help. With the "Include sub-pools" toggle, green images from all levels below the selected pool count as well – this also works with pools other teams shared with you. Selectable is whatever reaches at least 2 green images (with or without sub-pools).
  2. Choose the target project where the posts should be created.
  3. Optional: Add a short briefing – what should this be about? Occasion, topic or desired tone, for example "Recap of our event, casual tone".
  4. Choose the platforms maebe should plan for. Only platforms with image formats are offered.
  5. If you like, set how many posts should be created (or let maebe decide with "Auto") and whether maebe should lean towards single posts or carousels.
  6. Click Create suggestions.

maebe then analyses the images and puts a plan together. This takes a short moment.

What feeds into the suggestions

  • Green images only: The traffic-light rating in the pool is the selection – whatever you (or your client) set to green counts as approved.
  • Your briefing: If you provide one, maebe aligns grouping and captions with it.
  • Your brand voice: Writing samples and AI context from your AI settings plus the target project's AI context shape the caption drafts – see Brand voice & AI settings.
  • Your best posting times: If your team has insights data, the suggested times follow the slots when your audience is active.
  • Existing posts: Whatever is already planned in the project won't be suggested twice.

Currently only images are considered – videos will follow later. Per run, maebe looks at up to 24 green images. If your pool holds more, a random selection is drawn – so every new run brings fresh combinations. If you want to plan specific images, put them into their own (sub-)pool and pick that as the source.

Multiple voices: caption variants

Alongside your default persona you can pick up to two alternative voices in the setup. Each of these personas then writes its own caption variant per post – you see all suggestions with avatar and name right on the card. maebe remembers your selection for the next run.

Working with the variants:

  • Select one variant to adopt its text into the caption field – where you can edit it freely.
  • Select two or three variants and click "Combine selected": maebe merges the texts into one blended caption, which again lands in the caption field and stays editable.

All captions are AI-generated – use them as a starting point and adjust them to your liking before posting. Whatever ends up in the caption field is what gets adopted.

Review and adopt suggestions

Each suggestion is a card with the chosen images, title, caption and posting time. Before anything happens, you decide:

  • Edit: Adjust title and caption directly on the card. Clicking an image opens the large view.
  • Change platform, format and target format: Each card has its own format section – switch the platform (from your selection), the format and the aspect ratio there if needed.
  • Adjust the posting time: Clicking "Posting time" opens the calendar – including suggestions for your best times when data is available.
  • Deselect: Suggestions that don't fit are removed from the selection via the checkmark.
  • Choose the post type: By default a real draft is created (immediately editable, with an approval link). The switch turns it into a planning idea (an internal placeholder in planning mode) instead.

With Adopt, maebe creates the selected posts in the target project and shows them as tiles – one click opens the respective post. The images are copied into the posts – your media pool stays untouched. Copying runs in the background; the media appears in the posts shortly after.

Good to know

  • Content suggestions are available from the Pro plan. Media pools themselves are in every plan – the AI analysis on top of them starts at Pro.
  • Suggestions are non-binding: nothing is created until you adopt them.
  • There's a fair daily quota of runs per team – you'll see it right on the page.
