So the best shots quickly stand out from the many, every item in the media pool gets a traffic-light rating. Three colors are enough to bring order to a large collection.
Note: Media pools are a Pro+ feature. More on that under What is a media pool?.
The three colors
- 🟢 Green – good to go, can be used.
- 🟡 Yellow – maybe, still unsure or needs some editing.
- 🔴 Red – no, it's out.
Items without a rating simply stay neutral until you decide.
How to rate
- Open the media pool from the sidebar.
- Hover over an image or video – the traffic light appears right on the item.
- Tap the color you want. The rating is saved instantly.
- Want to undo a rating? Just tap the same color again.
Using the filter at the top, you can show only the green, yellow or red items. That helps you quickly pull together the approved shots at the end.
Rating together
You can also share a pool so clients or colleagues can rate along – without an account of their own. Everyone then rates the same items.
There's one simple rule here: the most recent rating wins. So if someone sets an image to green and someone else sets it to yellow shortly after, yellow applies. There are no separate votes per person – in the end you always see the latest state. Ratings update live, so there's no need to reload.
Tip: Have a quick word about who goes through when. That way you won't accidentally overwrite each other.
Where to go next
If you want others to rate along, first set up the link: Sharing a media pool. Once your green selection is set, you turn it into a post from a selection.
