When you use maebe to process personal data of third parties – for example photos or contact details of your own clients – the GDPR requires a data processing agreement (DPA). It sets out that maebe only processes this data on your behalf and on your instructions. You are the controller, maebe is the data processor.
The good news: there's nothing complicated to do. You already accepted the DPA together with the terms when you registered. It's therefore in force – and you can download it as your personal document at any time.
Open in the app: Privacy & DPA View your status and download your personal DPA PDF · login requiredWhere to find it
In your account, go to Privacy. At the top you'll see your status ("Concluded") and can download your personal DPA document as a PDF.
Your personal document
So your PDF names a clear contracting party, we need your company details. In the Your company details block, fill in your address (a company name is optional – as a private individual, just leave it empty). Your name comes from your profile automatically.
Once your address is complete, use Download as PDF to get your personal DPA document: with your details, maebe as the data processor, a timestamp and version. The document is generated automatically and is valid without a signature (electronic conclusion of contract).
The PDF is created in your language – if you download it with the interface set to German, you'll get the German version.
Your history
Under History you'll see every confirmation with date and time – from your first acceptance at registration to any later updates. That gives you a complete, gapless record at all times.
When something changes
A DPA should always match the current details. That's why you'll be asked to re-confirm in two cases:
- You change your company details. After saving, a note with a Re-confirm DPA button appears on the Privacy page. Only your click reissues the document with the new details – your existing one stays unchanged until then.
- maebe updates its contract details. You'll then see a note on your dashboard and in the Privacy area asking you to re-confirm the DPA.
In both cases you can use Review current version to read the full text at your leisure before you confirm.
