You can share a media pool with clients or your team via a public link. Anyone who opens the link sees the same images and videos as you, can rate them and download them – with no maebe account of their own.
Creating the link
- Open the pool from the sidebar.
- Click the Share action.
- Choose how long the link should stay valid – 7, 14, 30 or 90 days, or a ∞ permanent link that never expires.
- The link is active right away. Copy it and send it to the people you want.
Unlike post approval, a pool link needs no PIN. Anyone with the link gets straight in – so only pass it on to people you trust.
Permanent link: If you need a link that keeps working long-term (for example a fixed gallery you send out again and again), choose ∞ permanent link. It never expires – but you can pause or revoke it any time (see below).
Tip: What appears in the link is controlled per sub-pool via the visibility toggle – so you can show external people only the finished selection. More under Organising a pool.
What external people can do with it
- View: All the images and videos in the pool at a glance, with a full-screen view.
- Rate: Set the traffic light (green/yellow/red) – just like you. The most recent rating always applies. More on that under Rating assets.
- Download: Save individual files or a selection as a ZIP package.
All ratings also appear live in your view – you don't need to reload anything.
Managing the link
- Pause: You can temporarily switch the link off and turn it back on later – the link itself stays the same.
- Revoke: If you want to end access for good, you remove the share entirely. The old link then stops working; the next time you share, a new one is created.
Tip: Set the duration as short as makes sense. An expired link closes itself, with no need for you to remember.
Where to go next
Once the best shots are marked, you turn them into a post from a selection.
