Ideas with the campaign assistant

How the AI assistant turns a short briefing into a whole list of post ideas for your project.

Approx. 3 min read

Sometimes you know you need a campaign – but you're missing that first spark of an idea. That's exactly what the campaign assistant is for. You give it a short briefing, and it turns that into a whole list of post ideas for your project.

Where to find it

The campaign assistant has its own page: you reach it via the sidebar, via the AI menu at the top of the team and project pages, or via the assistant tile in a project's post overview. In the first step you choose the project to plan for – if you come from a project, it's already preselected. The ideas land right there.

How to use it

  1. Choose a project. Decide which project the ideas should land in – team and project context feed in automatically.
  2. Write a briefing. Describe your campaign in a few sentences: topic, goal, audience, tone of voice, important dates. The more specific you are, the better the suggestions.
  3. Set the scope. Choose the platforms (for example Instagram and TikTok) and – if you like – how many ideas you want and the date by which they should be spread out.
  4. Generate. The assistant creates a thoughtful list with a title, an idea and a caption suggestion for each post – and, if you want, even a suggested date.
  5. Pick & add them. Like filling a shopping cart, you put together the ideas you like – in card or calendar view. With one click you add your selection to the project.

Tip: Leave "Include existing posts" switched on. The assistant then takes a look at what's already planned in the project and adds to it sensibly, instead of repeating itself.

Voice & performance

The ideas automatically sound like your brand: the assistant uses the brand voice and AI context you've stored at team and project level – see Brand voice & AI settings. If you have the Social Connect add-on, you can additionally include your best-performing posts, so the suggestions take their cue from what has already worked well for you.

Multiple voices: caption variants

Alongside your default persona you can pick up to two alternative voices in the setup – each of these personas then writes its own caption variant per idea, with portrait and name right on the card. maebe remembers your selection (it also applies to the content suggestions).

  • Select one variant to adopt its text into the caption field – where you can edit it freely.
  • Select two or three and click "Combine selected": maebe merges the texts into one blended caption, which again lands in the caption field and stays editable.

All captions are AI-generated – use them as a starting point and adjust them before posting. Whatever ends up in the caption field is what gets adopted.

What happens to the ideas

Ideas you add are created as planning ideas in your project – loose sketches, not finished posts yet. You flesh them out later at your own pace and turn them into real posts. More on that in Planning mode. And if you'd rather create an idea from scratch yourself, you can of course do that the usual way via Creating a post.

Good to know

  • The generated ideas are just suggestions at first. Nothing is saved or published until you add it yourself – the page starts fresh on your next visit.
  • The project remembers your last briefing, so you can pick up where you left off next time.
  • You can use the assistant several times a day, but there's a fair daily limit – in everyday work you'll hardly notice it.
