Creating a post

How to start a new post in a project – with quick create or as a copy of an existing post.

Approx. 2 min read

A post is a single piece of content – with media, text, platform and date. It's the stage you work on. Every post lives in a project, and you can create as many as you like.

Starting a new post

  1. Open the project where the post should be created.
  2. Tap New post in the top right of the topbar.
  3. maebe immediately creates a draft and opens the post editor.

That's all you need to get started. You fill in the rest – media, caption, platform, date – step by step in the editor. You don't have to do everything at once; a post stays as a draft until you pick it back up.

Quick create

When you're in a hurry, you can create a post with just a title and add everything else later. That way you capture an idea without losing your train of thought – for example when a topic pops into your head while you're out and about.

Duplicating a post

If you have a post that's similar to an existing template, you don't have to start from scratch. From a post's actions you can duplicate it. The copy takes over content like the caption and settings and lands as a fresh draft in your project – ideal for recurring post types or series.

Tip: Set up a clean "master" post for your regular post types and duplicate it each time. That saves time and keeps a consistent look.

What happens next

Once the post is open, the real work begins:
