What the free plan includes, how you get into it and what happens when you exceed its limits.

maebe has a permanently free plan: Free. It's meant for getting started and for small setups – one team, one project, 5 GB of storage, with client approvals by PIN and a media pool. You don't need any payment details for it.

What Free includes

1 team with 1 member and 1 project
5 GB of storage for images and videos
Client approval via link and PIN – your clients don't need an account
Media pools for collecting and rating material
One calendar feed (iCal) for your team
Comments and notifications – as in every plan

Not included are the AI features (caption suggestions, campaign assistant, AI summaries), Link in Bio, the MCP connector, Radar, Visuals, 4K video and add-ons such as Social Connect. Plans compared shows the exact values of all plans.

How you get into the Free plan

There are three ways:

Directly when signing up. After registering you choose your plan. Below the Solo and Pro cards you'll find the link Or start for free with the Free plan.
Automatically after the trial. If you've tried maebe for 14 days and don't book a plan, your account simply continues on Free. You'll get an email about it.
From a paid plan. In the plan overview, choose Switch to Free on the Free card. If you have a running subscription, it continues until the end of the billing period and then switches. Add-ons end at the same time.

When you exceed the Free limits

You don't have to delete anything when switching to Free. Everything you've created stays in place, visible and exportable – including your active approval links.

Anything beyond the limits is simply frozen: if, say, you're at 20 GB against the 5 GB of storage, you can't upload new files until you free up space or switch to Solo. Likewise you can't create further projects or teams while you're over the limit.

Trying Pro once more

On the Free plan you'll find the starter task Your first three posts on your dashboard: plan three posts with an image or video and a date, and maebe unlocks one month of Pro for you – no payment details needed. Afterwards your account continues on Free again.

Upgrading

You can upgrade at any time in the plan overview. Solo gives you 150 GB, three projects and the AI features; Viewing & changing your plan explains how switching works.
