Understanding the interface

Sidebar, topbar and workspace – how to find your way around maebe.

Approx. 2 min read

maebe always follows the same layout. As soon as you sign in, you'll meet the same three areas – whether you're working on a post, a project or your settings.

The sidebar (left)

The bar along the left edge is your navigation. Here you'll find:

  • the team switcher right at the top – tap it to jump between your teams,
  • your projects for the current team,
  • notifications and activity,
  • tools such as media pools and insights,
  • a view of your storage usage.

You can pin frequently used teams as favorites with the star, so they always stay at the top.

The topbar (top)

A slim bar runs above your workspace:

  • on the left, the path showing where you are right now (for example "Project › Post"),
  • on the right, the most important action for the page – such as "New post".

The workspace (center)

This is where the actual work happens. Depending on the page, it's laid out differently:

  • A content column with the main area – that is, the list, the calendar, the editor or the form.
  • A context column on the right with settings, actions and status info about whatever you currently have open. In some views (the calendar, for example) it's hidden so you have more room.

Light or dark

maebe comes in a light and a dark appearance. You set it in your account – maebe remembers your choice.

Tip: On your phone, the sidebar folds away to the side and can be brought back via the menu icon. That keeps enough room to work on small screens.
