You decide how maebe reaches you. In the notification settings you set, for each type of update, which way it gets to you – or whether it just sits quietly in maebe.
The channels at a glance
- Email – the update lands in your inbox. Good for things you also want to see while you're out or later.
- Browser push – a message directly in your browser, even when maebe isn't in the foreground. Your browser asks you once whether it's allowed to show notifications.
- Phone push – if you use the maebe app on your smartphone, important updates come through as a push to your phone. Urgent updates are even allowed to break through your device's focus mode.
Where to set this up
You'll find the settings in your account under Notifications. There you see a list of all the types of updates, and for email and browser push you can switch each one on or off individually.
maebe comes with sensible defaults: important things are on by default, while the everyday "small stuff" stays rather quiet. You can adjust this to your way of working at any time.
Separate per team
If you're in several teams, you can make the settings per team. So for one client you can get every little move by email, while another team only bothers you about approvals.
Note: Browser push only works if you've allowed your browser to show notifications once. If you declined that by accident, you can grant it again in your browser's settings for maebe.
